i know this is a Pathfinder forum, but i ended up buying the Pathy's little brother "Who when it grows up wants to be a Pathfinder" ha ha ha.
I actually almost bought a 2nd hand R51, but just couldnt justify the extra cost, compared with the cost of the Xtrail - i got a 3000km demo and it was over 10grand cheaper than the 2nd hand R51, and yes while the Pathy has the 7 seats, we dont need them yet, and the Xtrail does everything we need it to do for now.
Anyway its a 2.5 CVT Auto - it has some get and up go, its actually a bit of fun taking off from the lights, as the 'hotted up cars' are alway suprised how quick it goes.
we got the spotties, nudge bar and a Waeco 60litre fridge in the deal as well.

Here is teh draw system in the back that is factory - the one on the left is optional though. these draws are great, as im IT/Office Equipment tech so they hold cables and screw drivers etc out of view.
We have done over 70,000 in it now, mainly on road, but have had it on the beach a few times, got it stuck on a track in QLD when we were up there Nov2009 - no fault of the cars, but purely my fault. Only probs has been a loose exhaust cover (had to convince the nissan dealer about it though) and recently it started hunting at idle, which the dealer took a while to diagnose, but have basically 'cleaned' the throttle body, and some sensors and it seems to be ok now.
